In seeing so many women my age (60) struggle with bloated stomachs and extra weight, I was committed to finding out why American women are often overweight and unhealthy compared to women with far less access to sophisticated health care. I was doing hot yoga regularly and running and yet I felt bloated and wanted to drop that “last 10 pounds” that so many women struggle to lose. Despite being very fit and strong from all the exercise and an excellent whole-foods diet, I had occasional stomach aches and suffered from the same weight concerns shared by most baby boomers. Doctors offered no solutions, and some even said that at my age (55 at the time) I could expect to continue to have these issues and even gain weight as I age. They recommended pills, which I rejected. In late 2023 I started researching the effects of fasting on the gut microbiome which led to research on metabolism, weight management, autophagy, nutrition, and exercise. When I used my new scientific knowledge to tweak my habits and engage metabolic switching I lost 10 pounds in the first 20 days. As I detoxed my own body with intermittent fasting, autophagy, and a very low-sugar diet, I continued to lose weight and soon reached my high school weight (and I fit into my high school Levi’s 501 jeans, which do not stretch!) In addition, I am more muscular and svelte than in high school. My body photos in this website were not photoshopped and were not retouched in any way - this is the physical result of scientific knowledge carefully applied to nutrition and exercise in a high-conscious manner. I take no prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs, or supplements and I feel younger than I have felt in decades - I feel 29 again! This virtually effortless transformation motivated me to seek education on weight management, personal training, and nutrition. I received 5 certifications in 2024, including DNA-based nutrition/fitness programming. My hope is for all people to experience the power of mind-body knowledge, so I created my unique mind-body and holistic personal training programs. Deana recommended adding apple cider vinegar to my morning routine, explaining the benefits of acetic acid and how it stabilizes blood sugar by slowing down the absorption of carbohydrates. She also explained how the order in which we consume categories of food hugely impacts how our body metabolizes the food, and why we can eat more food/more calories and lose weight based on the metabolic science. I am a very tall man over 60 years old and in very good health. To book a service:
Send an email to Sacks at deanapollardsacks@icloud.com. Indicate which service you wish to engage. In response Sacks will send a short Client Agreement. Clients should also send a text message to 713.927.9935 for Sacks to check email promptly.
Once the Client returns the executed Client Agreement, then the Client and Sacks will agree upon the service to be rendered and process payment for the service.
If the Client seeks an extended analysis, Sacks will send a detailed Client Questionnaire via email to be completed and returned at least 48 hours before the holistic consultation. If the Client seeks genetic testing, a DNA-test kit will be mailed for the Client to conduct a cheek-swab test for lab analysis.
Sacks will meet with the Client or send a Zoom link at an agreed-upon time to provide results, recommendations, and/or instruction.
